The American Association of Endodontists, founded in 1943, is a not-for-profit organization of endodontists and other professionals worldwide with an interest in endodontics. Endodontics was recognized by the American Dental Association as a specialty of dentistry in 1963. The AAE currently has more than 7,000 members worldwide, including approximately 95 percent of all eligible endodontists in the United States.



The American Dental Association (ADA) is an American professional association established in 1859 and has more than 152,000 members. Based in Chicago, the ADA is the world's largest and oldest national dental association and promotes good oral health to the public while representing the dental profession.



The Third District Dental Society was founded on January 12, 1868 and incorporated on April 7, 1868 by dentists in the Third Judicial District that comprises of the six counties of Albany, Rensselaer, Columbia, Greene, Ulster and Sullivan. The district spans the capital area and the beautiful Catskill Mountains of New York State. Members include 470 dentists that practice General Dentistry, Endodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Periodontics, Prosthodontics and Public Health. The mission of TDDS is to cultivate and promote the art and science of dentistry and to improve the oral and dental health of the public.
